Navigate in your course to where you would like to add the assignment and click on the purple plus and select Create from the menu that opens.
On the Create Item menu that opens, select Assignment.
Give your Assignment a name, provide instructions, and click on the gear wheel to adjust the Assignment Settings.
Once you set the due date, assign points, and adjust other settings (including building a rubric in Blackboard to link to the assignment), scroll to the bottom of the menu where you will see the heading “Originality Report” with an option to click on Enable Turnitin Bb Assignment.
The screen that opens next will have a toggle to Enable Turnitin Bb Assignment.
When you select the toggle, the black circle with the white X will become a green circle with a white check mark and you will be able to adjust the TurnIt-In settings.
Once you have those settings adjusted to your liking, click Save and then Save again to complete editing your Assignment settings.
Gradebook
When grading student submissions you will see a pill in the right hand corner above the student submission that you can click on to view the full TurnIt-In analysis as you can when using the TurnIt-In LTI. All feedback should be provided in Blackboard Ultra using the feedback tools built into Ultra.
Clicking on the plagiarism report pill will load the plagiarism report, which looks slightly different than when using the LTI. You will still see the overall plagiarism score and the AI score across the top of the screen rather than down the right hand side.
The potentially plagiarized text is still underlined and color coded, but it is now broken down into several categories.
