How do I access two Microsoft accounts in one browser?

Body

Microsoft doesn't allow simultaneous log ins for multiple accounts (like a work account AND school account) in one browser session. If you need to log in to two Microsoft accounts in the same browser, follow any of these quick and easy methods:

  1. Open your Internet browser and sign in to your first Microsoft account
  2. Open an Incognito/Private browsing window in your Internet Browser
    • Google Chrome: click the three-dot menu and select New Incognito Window
    • Mozilla Firefox: click the three-line menu and select New Private Window
    • Microsoft Edge: click the three-dot menu and select New InPrivate Window
  3. In the new incognito/private window, visit my.northwood.edu click NU Portal Login to sign in using your Northwood email address (user@northwood.edu)
  1. Use one browser (e.g., Chrome) to log in to the first Microsoft account
  2. Open a different browser (e.g., Firefox or Edge) and sign in to the second Microsoft account
  1. In browsers like Chrome, click the profile icon and select Add to create a new profile
  2. Use each profile to log in to separate Microsoft accounts
