I am Faculty/Staff and having PGP login issues, how can I fix it?

  1. Login to the PGP Desktop Login screen using your OLD password (if your new password is not working)
    • Hit the Tab key to see what characters you are typing in
  2. Login to the network sign on screen using your OLD password (if your new password is not working)
  3. You must be on the Northwood network or VPN into the Northwood network (use your NEW password to VPN) 
  4. Click the Start/Windows  button (Once connected to the Northwood network)
  5. Search for Symantec Encryption Desktop
  6. Choose Tools
  7. Select Synchronize all keys

NOTE: To prevent this issue from happening again, please be sure you are on campus or have used VPN to join the Northwood network.  Once you are on the Northwood network you can use the method below to change your password: 

  1. Log into a Northwood owned computer
  2. Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE
  3. Choose Change a password
  4. Type your old password followed by a new password as indicated, and then type the new password again to confirm it
  5. Press Enter
