How do I use Kaltura MediaSpace (My Media) to add, create, edit, share, publish and upload video recordings?

Kaltura MediaSpace (My Media), available to all Northwood University students, staff and faculty, simplifies the creation of videos and rich media content, even without specialized equipment. Kaltura offers an intuitive interface with a user-friendly experience and interactive viewing. This facilitates effortless personal video creation on campus, in the office, at home, or while on-the-go.

  1. Go to northwood.mediaspace.kaltura.com
  2. Click on the icon that looks like a head on the right side of the screen
  3. Select Login
  4. Enter your Northwood credentials
  5. Click Create
  6. Select Express Capture to record a video
    • Once finished recording, choose Use This, and select My Media in the drop down to share and publish your video

  2. Click on the head icon on the right
  3. Click My Media
    • Login using your Northwood credentials (if you aren't already)
  4. Click the desired video
  5. Click the Share button under the video preview
  6. Copy the URL from the "Link to Media Page" field
  7. Paste the link to share the video

Note: Videos with "Private" settings cannot be shared via link; only "Unlisted" or "Published" videos can be shared with others. You can check your video's Publish setting under the Actions drop-down menu on the video's page.
