ETS Critical Thinking Exam

If you are experiencing problems with the ETS Critical Thinking Exam, please try the following steps (these suggestions are directly from the ETS support team):

  • If you have downloaded the secure browser multiple times, you should delete all of them and try starting over. Sometimes having multiple versions of the browser downloaded causes it to not function properly.
  • You may need to type in the access code/session number manually. This is because the secure browser does not allow you to copy and paste with keyboard shortcuts. So, you should write the access code/session number down separately, and then enter it into the box. Make sure you are including the hyphen. 
  • Some firewalls (like Norton) may prevent the secure browser from downloading. You may need to manually allow it to download (if this is the case you can call ETS to get assistance).
  • If you are encountering problems, you should write down the exact wording of any error message you receive, so you can call ETS and read it to them.
