How do I add a network printer?

Windows 10 Computer

  1. Locate the name of the printer you wish to add. (Most printers have the name labeled on the front of the printer. If you do not see a label with the printers name ask a coworker the name of the printer.)
  2. Click the Start/Windows  button
  3. In the "Type here to search" box type in \\miadmin\
  4. Double click the name of the desired printer
  5. Allow 1-2 minutes for the drivers to install

*Most Xerox machines require an Accounting ID/User ID copy code--to obtain this code please contact the Business Office.

Add Network Printer

Windows 7 Computer

  1. Locate the name of the printer you wish to add. (Most printers have the name labeled on the front of the printer. If you do not see a label with the printers name ask a coworker the name of the printer.)
  2. Click the Start/Windows  button
  3. Select Run
  4. In the Run dialog box type in \\miadmin\
  5. Double click the name of the desired printer
  6. Allow 1-2 minutes for the drivers to install
